Phonic Hanger U Shape - PHUCLIP

USG Phonic Hangers U Shape is a strong bracket in various shapes and dimensions of which the upper or lower horizontal part presents an inserted Anti-Vibrate Rubber part disposing of an internal threading for a 6mm threaded rod dissociating to a max. Extent at lowest frequencies the structure from the USG Boral acoustic ceiling.

Performance
  • A particular safety device ensures that performance under fire of the system is not reduced by the rubber part being burnt off. The incorporated safety device will retain the threaded rod suspension system. In this case the ceiling will descend by 14mm
  • Work Load: 30-50kg
  • Threaded Rod: 6mm and 8mm

  • The U shape Phonic Hanger is used for the USG Boral acoustic ceiling consisting of three layers of 15.9mm USG Boral wet area boards screw fixed to USG Boral furring channels on primary channels and backed with a low density 100 mm fiber glass blanket. At very low frequency a consistent absorption increase will be achieved
Installation
  • Various hanger assemblies can be installed such as the internally threaded Phonic U Bracket inserted as a vibration break between two threaded rods or as a direct support for the primary channel of the USG Boral ceiling system avoiding the use of multiple intermediary brackets
  • Important: the bracket has to be installed pre-compressed by tightening the nut & washer on top of the bracket
