Introduction

The project scope includes the expansion of the airbase, restoration of structures damaged by the Gulf War, as well as the construction of a 300-foot microwave tower and Helicopter Hangar.

USG ME used its unique and innovative building products and solutions in this project, among these solutions were:



  • Aluminum Metal Ceiling
  • Sonata tiles
  • Halcyon tiles
  • Standard gypsum boards,
  • Moisture Resistant boards

 

Challenge

 

The time-frame set for the completion of the project was very tight.

In 2018, expansion on the base begun by the Kuwaiti Air Force to include a new asphalt/concrete runway and extensive new hangar facilities to support the future delivery of Eurofighters intended to replace their existing complement of F-18C fighter jets.
